LCU EVENT – As of June 11 we have 31 people 16 cars attending Saturday. If you are coming to the event for June 13-14 please do an RSVP. If you want to meet up Saturday morning at the hotel to caravan together up to the Highlands show we will depart at 7:00 AM Saturday from hotel to drive up to Highlands — 45 – 60 minutes minimum drive to get to Highlands and we have reserved parking!!! (Art Galley on Hwy 64 & 4th Street). For Saturday please wear your LCU blue shirt and name badges.

For those going into Highlands on Friday bring your lawn chairs for the 5:30-6:30 PM parade of vehicles.
Bobby will try to get the club to sit together. Eat dinner well before 5 PM at Mountain Fresh Groceries Restaurant – 1 block from show field & parade route.

Highlands NC 18th Annual events and show June 12-15. Free show for spectators on June 14
Craig Nixon a former member of LCU club was a speaker at our May LCU meeting. He lives in Château Elon & has a house in Highlands and they stay there part time. He is on the car Highlands car show committee & heads up the tour routes & leads the classic car tour as part of the cars scoring points toward the show class winner. He gave us a lot of info at our May 1 meeting.
Highlands NC annual car show and other events planned over 4 days. Main car show is Saturday June 14. Gates open 9:30 AM. Many Highlands Motoring Festival events are free to the public. The four driving tours and the Charity Gala require registration and payment. As of June 10 all events are booked.

There will be 20 Ferrari cars. All 85 cars in the show are pre-1989
Organizers expect 85 total entrants, including approximately twenty examples of some of Enzo Ferrari’s finest work. More than 2,500 visitors are expected on show day.
