Date is not yet firm! Drive outing to Historic Madison Georgia where you will find nearly 100 antebellum homes. We will start our journey at the Kroger on Spout Springs Rd near Duncan Corner (7380 Spout Springs Rd). We will meet up at 10:15AM – Wheels up at 10:45 to travel to Ricardo’s Kouzzina, 271 W Washington St, Madison, GA for lunch.
Lunch Menu (Subject to change) will be available at the August meeting. At Lunch, Richard (Son of Ricardo) will present some tidbits about Madison.
Following lunch, we will move two blocks to the Historic Town Square and wander over to the visitor’s center. Then touring of Madison will be on our own so everyone can go see the items of their interest.
Return home will be on your own (Suggest with a buddy if possible.),
A little about Madison GA:
The Madison Historic District is one of the largest in the state. Many of the nearly 100 antebellum homes have been carefully restored. Bonar Hall is one of the first of the grand-style Federal homes built in Madison during the town’s cotton-boom heyday from 1840 to 1860. There is a lot around the square within walking distance of the square including historical building and neat shops.
Our drive will almost be only nice back roads through the Georgia countryside. I think we might have about 1/2 mile on four lane roads.
Please RSVP by September 20, 2025, so we can give Ricardo’s a good head count for our group.
Remember when RSVPing if two are going please list first name as John & Jane and Doe as last name (Example) and show the count going as 2.
